"I first conceived the idea of writing this book eighteen years ago. But at the time, I had no clear sense of the right format; it was difficult to put my thoughts into writing, and I did not yet have answers to many of the questions that troubled me.
I wrote the first chapter, and part of the second, in late 2023 and early 2024, when I could no longer put it off. Writing had become natural, and life experience had provided the answers I once lacked.
